Dental extractions
Dental extractions are procedures in which a tooth is removed from its position in the mouth. This intervention may be necessary for various reasons, such as advanced tooth decay, infections, dental crowding, fractured teeth, or to prepare the space for orthodontic treatments.
Types of tooth extractions::
Simple Extraction: This is performed on visible and accessible teeth, usually with the aid of tools such as elevators and forceps. Usually performed under local anesthesia.
Surgical extraction:
Performed on teeth that are not easily accessible, such as impacted or fractured teeth. It may involve incisions in the gums and, in some cases, sectioning of the tooth prior to extraction.
